Are you an inspirational and dedicated teacher seeking a unique opportunity to join a collaborative and dynamic team?

Are you committed to providing an educational environment that will support students to thrive and achieve success?

About the Role

Coastal Lakes College (CLC) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics teacher to join our collegiate team.

This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a growing school and staff committed to success for all students through the delivery of quality teaching, differentiated pathways based on student needs and the provision of a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom and college environment.

The successful applicant should be committed to promoting and fostering student engagement and academic achievement in a supportive environment. Flexibility in a growing College will be highly advantageous to the role. Commitment to personal and professional growth, high standards of professionalism and a willingness to embrace opportunities for collaboration within the College community and neighbouring schools.

You will ideally be student and relationship focused, innovative and motivated, with the ability to work collaboratively in team environments. Professional knowledge, understandings, and experience to develop and implement an engaging and relevant secondary school Mathematics curriculum will be well regarded.

Experience in teaching senior school Mathematics courses - both ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) and General, is desirable but not essential. As an expert practitioner you should possess a commitment to excellence in teaching and engage in regular self-reflection.

Another key attribute is the ability to create environments conducive to learning and differentiate educational opportunities that are purposeful and relevant, catering to different student learning needs.

In this role, the successful applicant will ideally develop innovative classroom practices utilising the college's cutting-edge IT (Information Technology) infrastructure and should exhibit an understanding of High Impact Teaching Strategies (HITS). In this environment you should provide integrated, personalised and authentic learning experiences for students.

The college has a strong STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) focus, working in an innovative partnership with its local primary schools. A commitment to the college's emphasis on pastoral care and co-curricular programs such as Zones of Regulation and You Can Do It! will be highly regarded, as well as active promotion of the college's vision, motto and values within the college and the wider community.

About the School

At CLC we are a proud, inclusive college that strives to challenge and support every student to develop a 'growth mindset' as a learner and a person. A mindset where students are encouraged to imagine the possibilities, believe in themselves, inspire themselves and others with their effort and achieve their personal best. We believe the development of such a mindset provides a strong foundation for a bright and successful future. CLC, located in Lakelands, a south-western suburb of Perth in the City of Mandurah, opened in 2019 and will cater for students from Year 7 to 12 in 2024. It is a new and innovative college which includes an Inclusive Education Hub for students with moderate to severe and profound disabilities.
