DAFF is recruiting for several Policy/Project/Program Officer roles at the APS6 classification across various branches and divisions, duties will consist of some or all of the following:
• Developing and administering well-researched policy within tight timeframes.
• Contributing to the design, development, implementation and monitoring of policy and program interventions.
• Preparing draft reports, briefing papers, speeches, Ministerial correspondence, and discussion papers for review by executive level employees.
• Resolve moderately complex enquiries from internal and external stakeholders and provide information and advice on behalf of the section.
• Providing significant and detailed reports on program specific issues.
• Project management, including adherence with associated governance conditions.
• Interpreting legislation and identifying issues associated with existing policies and proposed policy options.
Note : This recruitment process will be used to fill both ongoing and non-ongoing positions across the department. The merit pool established through this selection process, which is valid for a period of 18 months from the date the vacancy was advertised in the Public Service Gazette, may be used to fill the similar vacancies should they become available.
