The Employment Incentives and Pathways team manage the Internship and Scholarship Programs for the department. One of these programs is the Turn to Teaching Internship Program, which provides supported pathways for people who want to change careers and become a teacher.> Our busy team is looking for a Principal Project Officer to join us in helping to boost Queensland's teaching workforce. This temporary role is available until the end of 2024, unless otherwise determined.

About The Role
- As a Principal Project Officer in the team, you will develop professional working relationships with Host Schools, Higher Education Institution Liaisons, Regional HR Colleagues and Turn to Teaching (TTT) Interns.
- You will support TTT Interns during their Internship year and oversee their academic progress.
- You will work closely with the TTT Project Team and Project Manager in order to contribute to the development and implementation of strategic and innovative initiatives.
Suitable applicants for this role will have:
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in Human Resource Management or Consultation
- An understanding of Initial Teacher Education Programs
- An ability to think critically and strategically and present ideas to inform future practice
- The ability to make considered and insightful decisions
- Proven ability to build and sustain relationships to enable the collaborative delivery of customer focussed outcomes
- A strong understanding of project methodology and project governance
- The Turn to Teaching Internship Program is in its 3rd operational year, and as such this role will require someone who can hit the ground running.
