Description:
Our client, a well-known logistics business, are looking for an Applications migration PM with great communication and relationship management skills, ideally you will be from consultancy background with strong experience in applications and an understanding of the infrastructure they are hosted on.
The role will involve working with internal IT teams (DevOps, Infra, Cyber) and external parties to implement various small/medium enhancements for internal and external customers (software features in bespoke applications etc).
There may also be scenarios where you would support application decommission projects and support users are being transitioned to alternative applications.
The initial term would be for 6 months, with a strong possibility for extension.
Experience needed
- Senior Project Manager who has delivered Applications migration projects.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment where change is constant.
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous small applications projects.
- Strong focus on stakeholder engagement, effective communication.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Communicate project goals, timelines, and deliverables effectively to cross-functional teams.
- Maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and status reports.
- Present reports on project progress, budget, and risks to senior management.
- Take a hands-on approach when necessary, diving into tasks and activities to ensure project success.
- Lead by example and inspire team members to maintain a strong work ethic.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, managing projects from initiation to closure.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in navigating challenging project environments.
- Proficiency in Jira, Excel, Confluence
