How will I help?
As Senior Manager for Business Controls and Monitoring in our Cash & Transactional Banking
team you'll be instrumental in supporting risk management and monitoring, ensuring the implementation and adherence to our robust risk management framework, policies, and controls across the Line of Business.
As a valued member of our Business Controls and Monitoring (BCM) team, you'll play a crucial role in the Cash and Transactional Banking (C&TB) Product & Pricing Village. You'll be at the forefront of addressing all matters related to risk and control, supporting the implementation of innovative solutions to risk and control challenges. Your expertise will help foster a strong risk culture that reflects our commitment to ethics and integrity, balancing both commercial and customer needs.
You'll collaborate closely with a team of dedicated risk professionals to ensure that the C&TB Product & Pricing Village's risk management practices align seamlessly with our frameworks, policies, risk strategy, and regulatory obligations. As a trusted risk advisor, you'll stay updated on changes to policy requirements and assist the Village in understanding and implementing these changes effectively.
Your role will also involve providing specialised risk expertise in incident and issue rectification, remediation, and regulatory updates for the C&TB Product & Pricing Village. This includes leading incident verification and root cause analysis activities, facilitating compliance assessments, supporting regulatory notices, and enhancing issues and incident management practices. You'll monitor and track sustainable rectification and remediation efforts, ensuring any impacts to the Value Chain risk profile are appropriately considered and updated.
In addition, you'll offer controls expertise to assist in identifying, uplifting, or building controls within the Village. This involves testing the design and operating effectiveness of these controls and providing effective risk expertise in change initiatives. You'll actively participate in working groups and meetings, contribute to complex risk and compliance-related matters, and review key artifacts within required timeframes.

What do I need?
With 5-10 years' experience as a seasoned risk management professional in banking or financial services, you'll bring a deep understanding of risk assessment and material risk policy components to this role. You'll showcase strong influencing, negotiating, and quality assurance skills, along with a proven track record in risk management, legal, or compliance roles. You'll thrive working autonomously, completing tasks, and making decisions within delegated boundaries.
Your ability to translate complex information into simple, understandable terms and communicate with passion will set you apart. You'll have strong relationship-building skills and excel at working effectively as part of a team. Your proactive approach, organisational skills, and outcomes-focused mindset will drive you to success. With a strong customer focus and commercial acumen, you'll be adept at achieving objectives in a changing environment.
