How will I help?

We're on the lookout for an Executive Manager to join our dynamic team in Business Controls & Monitoring within the Group Property division. In this pivotal role, you'll lead a talented team of risk professionals, steering the implementation and management of risk management and monitoring obligations. You'll play a key role in driving and supporting the consistent adoption and integration of risk management frameworks, policies, and controls across the division.

Your partnership with our Senior Leaders, including the BU General Manager, will be crucial. Together, you'll tackle risk and control challenges head-on, crafting pragmatic solutions and seeing strategic ideas through to end-to-end implementation. You'll also champion a strong risk culture that reflects our core values of ethics and integrity, always striking a balance between commercial objectives and customer needs.

In this role, you'll be instrumental in elevating the risk maturity of our business. You'll lead by example, fostering improved risk capability and building a 'community of practice' across our 1st line teams. Ensuring alignment with our frameworks, policies, risk strategy, and regulatory obligations will be second nature to you, as you guide your team in managing risk issues and developing effective action plans.

Your leadership will extend to overseeing risk management and reporting functions, providing vital monitoring and assurance. You'll also play a pivotal role in enhancing our risk governance by facilitating Board and risk committee reporting, ensuring consistency, quality, and effectiveness.

What do I need?

To thrive in this role, you'll need 10-15 years of operational Risk experience, coupled with extensive experience in banking, financial services in risk assessment. Your background should include a significant focus on compliance, risk policy development and quality assurance.

In addition you'll demonstrate strong stakeholder management and relationship skills with the ability to build trust, fostering collaboration, and ensuring successful outcomes.
