As part of our Vehicles and Tactical Systems business, our Protected Vehicles team is primarily focused on the design, manufacture, delivery and support of protected mobility vehicles on a global scale. We have an excellent opportunity to join us as a Project Manager based in our Bendigo office. The purpose of the role is working on multiple support and strategic defence industry project deliverables on vehicle mounted platforms able to manage and liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

As a Project Manager, you will be accountable for:

  • Establishing and updating project requirements baseline in a collaborative work with the Bids Team.

  • Execution of baseline (including project structure, work package description, patterns and supplier contractual data, management plants, costs, budgets and financial structure and resourced schedule).

  • Initialising the project right from identifying the key stakeholders, setting the project team, organising the project structuring activities, starts-up project activities and identifying and allocating the source project requirements and managing the financial aspects of the acquisition "Make or Buy" strategy.

  • Leading the project launch review and involve all stakeholders and executing, monitoring and controlling the project until its completion.

  • Effectively closing the project including archiving documents, closing expenditures and sharing enterprise experience (i.e. lessons learnt).

How About You?

  • A formal IPMA, PMBOK or Prince 2 qualification would be highly preferred.

  • Proven experience in the management of projects involving design, development and production.

  • Experience and capabilities in managing budget, resources, schedule estimation and management and also the concepts, standards, systems and programs and the value they provide.

  • Good experience in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers.

  • Knowledge and experience with management tools including Primavera or similar would be helpful.
