Description:
We are looking for an APS6 Senior Communications and Media Advisor to join the newly established Stakeholder Engagement and Communication team in the Authority. The responsibilities of the team include:- Developing, implementing and updating stakeholder engagement and communication plans;
- Providing strategic coordination of stakeholder engagement, public relations and media relations across the Authority to support the delivery of the Authority's priorities;
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with community and industry representatives and organisations;
The key duties of the position include
As the Communications and Media Advisor you will provide specialist communications and stakeholder engagement support for the operation of the Authority. As part of the role you will:
- Prepare, update and implement communication and engagement plans and strategies, as well as supporting policies, protocols and standards;
- Arrange and manage ministerial and Authority engagement activities and events;
- Research, write and edit content (i.e media releases, presentations, articles, website and social media copy, and speeches);
- Build and maintain relationships with government, community and industry stakeholders;
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and communications across the Authority to support project delivery;
- Brief senior executives of the Authority and other senior government officials.
