Role Highlights: Lead IT-business partnerships across APAC. Shape technology strategies.

Role Overview

As a Business Relationship Manager, the primary responsibility is to establish robust relationships across all levels of the supported function, advocating solutions aligned with both business and IT strategies rather than merely fulfilling orders. This entails possessing an expert understanding of the region, business processes, and emerging technologies to facilitate the sharing of best practices globally. Additionally, the role involves enhancing business awareness of existing and potential IT services, understanding and documenting business requirements, and identifying changes in the customer environment that may impact services provided.

Furthermore, the BRM acts as a trusted intermediary between the business and IT, ensuring mutual objectives are met. They facilitate pre-project definition, scoping, and prioritization of solutions, providing end-to-end quality control for solution delivery aligned with initiative objectives. Effective communication and customer service skills are essential for concisely framing complex problems and selling effective solutions, while also influencing key stakeholders and peers to design and deliver optimal solutions. Finally, the role encompasses identifying process improvement opportunities, serving as a single point of contact throughout the business service delivery lifecycle, and managing all aspects of project delivery to meet project objectives throughout the project life cycle.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for this position will be adept at orchestrating initial project estimations, ensuring budgets align with anticipated benefits, and conducting thorough post-project analyses. They will be responsible for maintaining end-to-end quality control throughout solution delivery, aligning every aspect with initiative objectives, success criteria, and user satisfaction. Their role will involve acting as a bridge between business and IT stakeholders, swiftly resolving issues to prevent any adverse impacts on business performance. Moreover, they will oversee the seamless handover of projects and demands to the Support function, ensuring adherence to quality standards and minimizing any potential negative effects on business operations.

In addition to managing project teams, resources, and finances, the candidate will be tasked with diligently tracking and reporting progress against objectives, service level agreements, and key performance indicators. They will be empowered to make critical decisions that directly influence project outcomes, such as results, deadlines, and budget allocations. Effective communication skills, both formal and informal, will be essential for fostering collaboration among stakeholders with diverse objectives. Furthermore, the candidate should exhibit a proactive approach to understanding internal customer requirements and recommending solutions that drive continuous operational improvement. Staying abreast of industry developments and demonstrating creativity and innovation in problem-solving will be fundamental to fulfilling the dynamic needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
