Role Overview
Reporting into the Head of Payroll, this Payroll Manager will be responsible for ensuring a smooth payroll process whilst identifying system enhancements within the organisation. You will oversee the efficient administration of Payroll Services for a workforce exceeding 500 employees across Australia. Emphasis is placed on strategic operational practices, team skill development, implementing best practices for business continuity, and fostering strong partnerships with customers.

Responsibilitie s
- Lead and nurture a high-performing payroll team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement to achieve strategic goals.
- Develop comprehensive payroll strategy encompassing time-keeping, payments authorisation, tax compliance, and accounting integration.
- Manage end-of-month processes and ensure adherence to internal controls for efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement a systematic review process to identify trends, challenge assumptions, and propose solutions for payroll optimisation.
- Maintain legislative compliance.
- Drive payroll-related projects.
- Oversee payroll tax compliance, vendor management, and crisis readiness while driving best practices and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders.
