Description:
We are working with a local government client based South of the River. They are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant/Administrator for a short term assignment.Working hours: Full time (Mon - Fri)
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 10 weeks with possible extension
Pay rate: Approx. $35 - $40 + Super
The Role
Some key responsibilities for these roles include but are not limited to:
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to the wider team
- Managing the calendar/diary as required.
- Coordinate executive, management, and team meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes and maintain action logs.
- Liaise with other members of the executive team and senior leadership group, build strong relationships and maintain boundaries with stakeholders.
- Maintain a Planning Administration Manual including the preparation and maintenance of instruction sheets and general information handouts and photocopying
- Provide information and advice to the community, developers, applicants, government agencies and other customers of the Statutory Planning Team
- Assist in providing advice to the public with respect to current planning issues being undertaken by the City on zoning, future development, cadastral information and the location of newly approved roads
- Proven experience as an EA or Senior Administrator
- Experience in diary management including planning, organising and prioritising work.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal direction with a high level of attention to detail and work ethic.
- Local Government Experience (Experience in Planning is desirable)
- Administration experience working in a Planning Team within Local Government
- A valid National Police Clearance within 3 months or be willing to obtain.
- Submit a clear Drug & Alcohol test result
