We're looking for an Admin Assistant to work in our Ultimo based Chartered Accountant Accounting Firm, that can help us take care of all those super important clerical and administration jobs and of course help take care of the running of the Office generally.

This person we are looking for should be personable, a quick thinker and efficient They should have very good computer skills, and always looking for things to do. Thinking outside the square is always a welcomed attribute. They should have good phone and customer interaction skills and should be savvy with Social Media.

The role of the Administration Assistant is extremely important to us as it is quite often the first person a Client will come into contact with, but also the linchpin of the whole Office.

This is a Part-Time role and is for three (3) full days per week. We are flexible what days they are but should be the same days each week once agreed upon. WFM is an option on one of those days after a reasonable length of service has passed but not less than 12 months.

We are looking for a candidate that generally possesses the following attributes:

  • Has had at least 2 years experience in an Admin role
  • Candidates MUST have experience working in an Accounting Firm
  • A happy disposition, good memory and professional manner would be great.
  • Likes to be busy and does things promptly
  • Instinctively knows when something isn't right
  • Has no problem to pick up the phone and ring clients or Government bodies.
  • Has exceptional computer skills particularly with MS365 and Software Apps

Duties & Tasks will generally include:

  • Dealing with ATO, ASIC, Revenue NSW
  • Dealing with Incoming and Outgoing mail.
  • Preparing invoices for the Firm’s clients.
  • Attending daily workflow huddles.
  • Looking after our Job-Flow Management system.
  • Printing, scanning and filing of letters, reports, etc.
  • Liaising with Clients by phone & email.
  • Drafting & merging letters, typing correspondence.
  • Assisting Accountants with data collection, etc.
  • Greeting Clients in a professional manner.
  • General & various administration duties
  • Assisting with marketing concepts.
  • Social Media management, including regular newsletters.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22.5 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Christmas bonus

  • Ultimo, NSW 2000: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
