Key responsibilities for this stimulating and rewarding position include:

  • Overseeing day to day ICT operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of critical systems, infrastructure, networks, security and the support desk
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external, including 3rd party vendors (MSP’s)
  • Work with other departments to identify and address their technology needs
  • Manage the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers and databases, ensuring their security, efficiency, and reliability
  • Working closely with our ICT Service Provider, oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems
  • Manage the IT budget, including identifying cost savings and optimization opportunities.
  • Creating standardised processes to ensure consistent delivery aligned with business objectives
  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of leading ICT practices and systems
  • Lead and manage the ICT Service Desk function ensuring it is skilled to provide high quality support for all ICT Services including remote users

The person we are seeking is a bright, energetic self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision. You must demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly and professionally to new and evolving situations while showcasing your initiative, prioritisation, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced setting. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

Along with being reliable, loyal and trustworthy, it is essential that you have the following attributes:

  • Minimum five years experience in an ICT Operations role including people management
  • Ability to communicate technology concepts to personnel at all levels
  • Professional presentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Focussed, driven and motivated
  • A positive energy with a 'can-do' attitude
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and evaluative skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
