Description:
The Sales Manager role will see you leading a sales team responsible for delivering the agreed targets and business goals for Adbri Concrete and Quarries South Australia.
In this diverse and challenging role, you will report directly to the General Manager and contribute to the strategic development of the SA business in a highly competitive market. Working within established guidelines and with support from a national marketing and business development team, you'll have a hands-on role in representing Adbri for customer engagement, ranging from daily customer supply up to large infrastructure projects.
As the Sales Manager, you will be accountable for providing proactive leadership and direction to the sales teams through setting high performance standards, driving accountability and results, all while ensuring you help nurture a culture of collaboration and clear communication.
The role is for you if you're highly motivated, results-oriented and have strong business acumen. Ideally you will have experience in a similar role and can demonstrate a track record of success in winning and delivering on major infrastructure projects with Tier 1 customers.

Responsibilities
- Assess the SA market and develop and execute strategies to optimise opportunities
- Lead engagement for major projects with Tier 1 customers
- Develop sales targets and prepare sales and operational budgets.
- Analyse sales and profitability within new and existing markets and market segments
- Analyse sales data of existing customer base and deliver margin growth strategies
- Provide relevant targets (eg, financial, operational, customer service, customer loyalty) for all sales staff and regularly evaluate performance.
- Champion the implementation and adoption of sales supporting systems to ensure maximum business benefit (SalesForce & PowerBi)
- Maintain an accurate sales forecast across the Concrete and Quarry businesses for operational and resourcing benefit.
- Ensure all tenders and quotes for projects are supplied on time and in line with approved processes.
- Successfully negotiate all elements of the customer relationship, ensuring consistency in all dealings
What you will need to succeed
- Demonstrated success in a sales management role, ideally within the building industry.
- Skills to develop, implement and execute strategic business plans.
- Proven ability to work independently within an established business framework.
- A strong focus on customer satisfaction
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business, marketing or similar discipline (preferred)
- Intermediate computer literacy using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint (essential) and experience with SAP (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and present clear and concise reports.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and upskill a team of direct reports.
