We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our high-performing finance team. You will be working on the day-to-day aspects of SafetyCulture's global accounting operations. This role will be embedded in the team in a fast pace and fast growing environment. You will also be involved in a wide variety of projects around process improvement, our external audit processes as well as general finance project work.

How will you spend your time

  • Managing end to end bank reconciliation process and cash management
  • Managing income statement and balance sheet accounts and related processes such as accruals, prepayments, intercompany and other OPEX
  • Reconciling and maintaining fixed asset register
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing BAS, FBT, VAT and US sales tax for different regions
  • Processing month-end journals and assisting with month-end close and reporting
  • Working with external auditors and tax advisors for annual statutory reporting
  • Partnering with the business to support other financial related procedures
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement, standardisation and/or automation
  • Ad-hoc involvement in wider finance team projects

What do I need?

  • CA/CPA qualified Accountant or close to qualification
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce or finance
  • Attention to detail with an ability to multitask and prioritise tasks
  • Advanced Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc) skills
  • Proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a focus on making things better
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with SaaS or high-growth technology business
  • Experience with Netsuite, GSuite and Coupa
