6 month Financial Accounting role for large retail firm in the CBD. Paying 602 per day with 2/3 days remote. Reporting to FC.

Role Overview: As a Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function of the retail organization. Working closely with the finance team, you will be responsible for financial reporting, analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather financial data and insights.
- Reporting under IFRS with a team of experts
- Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant, preferably within the retail industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial analysis tools and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP.
- CPA or CA certification preferred but not required.
- Big 4 Background preferred
