The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join the team our BlueScope Building Components National Head Office team in Sales Administration. Located at our brand-new facility at Novar Garden, BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght, Fielders, Ranbuild and Kiteleys.

Working with one of our largest sales accounts, you'll be integral to the delivery of superior customer experiences through the administration of our e-commerce platform. You'll connect with a large network across the nation, linking in with our Sales and Customer Services Teams, Pricing and Commercial Teams and Marketing teams. Exposure to our products and systems, commercial arrangements and customer base will quickly facilitate your growth across several key areas of our business. Success in this role will position you for future opportunities and career path development within our business and the wider BlueScope.

A solid onboarding into the role, with the support of the team close at hand, you'll be someone with excellent attention to detail who keeps the customer front of mind. You'll have a proactive approach and delight in resolving potential issues quickly by partnering with customers and stakeholders.

This is a full time, permanent position with the opportunity to work from home (hybrid). What Will You Do?

As a system expert in our e-commerce platform, you’ll balance your time between system updates (i.e. pricing and content) and managing any day-to-day issues or enquiries, you’ll be:

  • collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure customer expectations and requirements are met
  • maintaining, updating and creating documentation and templates for sales, operations and support functions
  • working with State based teams on products and services offers, including pricing claims
  • resolving issues and seeking ways to improve the customer’s experience
  • ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely manner and systems updated accordingly

  • strong customer focus with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
  • well-developed computer and systems skills - experience with sales platforms/customer portals would be ideal
  • high attention to detail and ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • confidence in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new systems
  • a growth mindset of continuous learning and improvement for yourself and the team
