We are currently seeking an Accounts Officer for the Inner West Council located in Petersham. This position works as a member of an Accounts team that undertakes a range of accounts management functions to accurately capture data, maintain the integrity of Council’s accounts information and provide management reports. The position maintains an effective accounts service that delivers the following functions:

• - Accounts receivable
• - Accounts payable
• - Debt recovery
• - Investments
• - Banking imports
• - Sundry bank statement receipting

Duties will include

• Undertaking account management functions to accurately capture data
• Maintain the integrity of the council's accounts information and provide management reports
• Maintain an effective accounts services to deliver functions including; accounts receivable, accounts payable, debt recovery, investments, banking imports, sundry bank statement receipting

In Order to be Successful for this role you will need.

• Police check required (with stat dec)
• Good verbal and written communications skills
• Experience in accounts management or accounting systems
• Knowledge of accounts processes and ability to apply relevant policies and procedures
• Good interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
• Strong administrative skills with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and competing deadlines
• Good computer literacy and spreadsheet skills
• Available full time
• Experience in Finance One software (preferable)
