About the Role
Researchers from the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development are proud to be administering and working within the Gumbaynggirr-led research team awarded the “Gumbaynggirr Daari Research Project” from the Aboriginal Languages Trust. We are seeking to appoint a full-time experienced Project Coordinator - Gumbaynggirr Daari until 31 December 2024 (with an opportunity to extend on a part-time basis until 2026).

The aim of the project is to examine the impacts of the First Nations education model currently in place on Gumbaynggirr Country for children, families, staff and the Community. In this role you will apply your knowledge and connection with the Gumbaynggirr community, and research experience, to coordinate research activities including Community-led design sessions and fieldwork, work with the research team to develop a project plan, coordinate Steering Committee meetings and provide secretariat services for the Steering committee, track actions and coordinate communication about the project to the broader Gumbaynggirr Community.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position until 31 December 2024 with an opportunity to extend on a part-time basis until 2026. The role will be remotely based on Gumbaynggirr country. Please review the position description for further information.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 6 $107,358 to $115,073 p.a. (comprising Salary of $90,719 to $97,238 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
