An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a supervisor to join Service Stream based in Melbourne, VIC
About the Role
Reporting to the Project Manager you will lead a single team (could be multiple groups) through application of intermediate knowledge in a specialist stream (job category) or advanced knowledge of several technical/operational practices. Set objectives and deliver results that have direct impact on the achievement of results at this level. Manages through the leadership and development of people.
Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Melbourne, VIC
Reporting Line: Project Manager
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise the delivery of intelligent transport system construction projects.
- Provide scheduling and controls to ensure on time on budget delivery
- Monitor, schedule and supervise team activities and processes to ensure compliance with legislative and organisational requirements
- Build and maintain relationships across the team(s) and provide guidance and support by training, mentoring and coaching team members to develop internal expertise and ensure that staff are adequately resourced to perform
- Leading by example, promote and foster a performance culture to drive accountability and core values;
- Ensure safety compliance to business management system
- Enter QA required to justify claims and reporting requirements
- Identify variations from the contractual scope for escalation to or pricing from management
About you:
- Electrician A class, instrumentation qualifications highly regarded.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an infrastructure services industry or construction environment
- Minimum of 2 years' experience supervising or coordinating field activities
- Demonstrated ability to plan resources and manage the delivery of road works across a freeway network
- Strong safety culture and understanding of regulatory requirements under the Occupational Health and Safety at Work Act
- Previous experience in a tier 1 company
- Experience in ITS industry would be highly regarded
- Tools of the trade (vehicle)
