Description:
As the Financial Controller you will lead external financial reporting, management reporting, and commercial business partnering efforts for this division. You will act as a key partner to driving performance and growth as they aim to double in size across the next 5 years.Other responsibilities will include the following:
- Collaborate with the broader finance team to drive timely month-end close, reconciliations, and insightful analysis for stakeholders.
- Maintain and review general ledger entries, fostering continuous improvement in finance processes.
- Oversee and provide support to their payroll function, ensuring seamless operations.
- Spearhead ERP and other business systems implementation and enhancement projects.
- Ensure compliance with BAS, FBT returns, and other regulatory requirements.
- Support monthly reporting needs and contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will ideally have the following:
- CA or CPA qualification with extensive experience in a similar financial leadership role within a $100M-$200M organisation.
- Previous exposure to a high volume industrial importing & distribution organisation would be highly advantageous.
- Proven track record overseeing complex payroll functions is highly desirable.
- Strong people leadership skills with a passion for developing high-performance teams.
- Exceptional business partnering abilities, capable of influencing stakeholders across the organisation.
- Ambitious and motivated individual with a focus on technical accounting and process improvement initiatives.
