Eden Ritchie is seeking Principal Project Officers who will be involved in economic and commercial analyses and the provision of advice on the development and management of financial incentive and funding agreements that aim to boost Queensland’s economic development and competitiveness.
You will be involved in facilitating the execution of funding agreements, liaising with program and sectoral areas. You will be responsible for the management of agreements that have been executed under various incentive programs and fulfilling various reporting requirements. You will have agreement management responsibilities for several funding agreements under various programs from execution to maintenance and expiration.

- 4 x AO7 Principal Project Officers for 5 weeks with possible 6 x 1 Month Extension
- 1.5 x AO7 Principal Project Officers for 12 months with possible 3 x 1 Month Extension
As the Principal Project Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide comments and facilitate the review of draft Term Sheet in a form that is appropriate for approval, including referral of draft Term Sheet to Legal Services Unit and externally appointed legal firms.
- Develop funding agreements to incorporate approved Term Sheet using approved Funding Agreement templates for Advanced Queensland Industry Attraction Fund program. Other programs (e.g. Made In Queensland, Biomedical Attraction Fund, Biomedical Voucher Scheme) and ‘one-off’ funding agreements will have their own funding agreement templates that have been approved by Legal Services Unit or externally appointed legal firms.
- Prepare Briefs and facilitate the approval and execution of funding agreements by appropriate delegate for release to successful recipients. This is undertaken in liaison with the Legal Services Unit and program and sectoral areas. Provide comments on any commercial issues in the funding agreements and responses to recipients, as required, in consultation with Legal Services Unit and program and sectoral areas.
- Undertake agreement management functions (such as condition precedent assessment, claims verification and approvals, simple variation and approvals) and other functions associated with managing agreements as required.
- Lead and participate in discussions with successful recipients in relation to the terms and obligations of funding agreements. Prepare contract summary and attend meetings with internal relationship managers and external clients as required under funding agreement protocols.
- Update reporting schedules and spreadsheets including funding commitments and forward estimates.
- Prepare reports, submissions, briefings and correspondence as directed by senior officers and management.
We are looking for people with a Bachelor of Laws with a minimum of 2 years of post-admission experience in commercial contract negotiation and drafting, resolving complex commercial issues and risk mitigations for industry and infrastructure projects, including drafting Term Sheets.
