Our client has an opportunity for a Production Planner to join their team. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and ideally has had previous experience working in the pharmaceutical industry.
The Role:
- Manage the day-to-day production planning and accurate updating of the SAP system
- Ensure manufacturing resources are effectively utilised
- Analysis of orders to prioritize, plan and schedule appropriate materials.
- Provide Subject Matter Expert advice in the day to day management of production schedule
- Work closely with other departments to ensure transparency and visibility throughout the planning process
- Prepare weekly summary report to capture performance and material availability
- Identify and make improvements to achieve best practice in the planning area
- Producing production report for Production Supervisor to successfully execute the production schedule
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience working as a production planner in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Broad knowledge of production planning processes
- Relevant tertiary qualifications would be highly regarded but not essential
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work through and solve problems whilst juggling a number of production planning tasks at the one time
- Strong interpersonal skills, written & verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have the ability to coordinate people and production activities efficiently and effectively with the goal of exceeding daily, weekly and monthly KPI targets.
- Intermediate - Advanced computer skills, Proficiency with ERP systems
- Understanding of GMP and TGA Guidelines
