Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Production Planner to join our team on a full-time basis.

This position is a permanent role and will report to the Supply Chain Manager. This role will be responsible to plan and prepare production schedules for dispensing, manufacturing, and filling lines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare production schedules for dispensing, manufacturing, and filling lines with a fixed production plan as per the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Attend daily production meetings to ensure planning is accurate and are up-to-date.
  • Issue the Bill of Materials and Pack Bills to dispensing and warehouse when required, ensuring on issuing that all materials are available.
  • Ensure products are made efficiently and timely, in accordance with the monthly production commitments.
  • Forecast master production scheduling (to establish time and sequence).
  • Provide daily output rates, standard rates, and reasons for discrepancies, and provide improvement methods and procedures.
  • Provide daily production updates and complete required documentation.
  • Be actively involved in the planning and introduction of new products and projects.
  • Manual handling tasks where required.
  • Ensure all relevant policies and procedures are followed.


Skills and Experience:

  • Atleast 3+ years experience as a Production Planner or in a similar role in manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional time managements skills, be able to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy & quality.
  • Having a Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Planning or related discipline is advantageous.
  • Work as a proactive team member in a small team environment.
  • Working under minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of Safe work practices and working in a safe manner at all times.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar environment, have a willingness to learn and work towards continuous improvement.



Qualifications:

  • SAP Experience is desirable.
  • Proficiency in using MRP planning software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • MS Office - intermediate Excel skills required.
