About the Role
Provide personalised support to individuals with disabilities living in Kogarah, Hurstville, Miranda and surrounding suburbs including Gymea, Arncliffe, Beverly Park, Kirrawee and South Hurstville.
To provide the best support you will be an experienced Disability Support Worker with a range of experience across social support, behaviour support, personal care, complex health needs, manual handling and hoisting.
The successful candidate will be willing to work across multiple locations and have availability to work a variety of shifts across a 24/7 roster including weekends, public holidays and nights.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide active person-centred support
- Follow behaviour support plans
- Promote client goals through enjoyable activities
- Provide personal care
- Ensure safe manual handling and hoisting
Skills & Experience
- Personal Care experience
- Previous experience working with people with complex health needs
- Experience with behaviours of concern and following behaviour support plans
- Unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
- First Aid and CPR certificates
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
