Job Description

The Role
In this key role, you ensure the successful management and leadership of the Member Security Centre Monitoring and Alert Operations function. Your day-to-day leadership of this specialist team will result in the continued delivery of a trusted and high-performing team, ensuring alerts are actioned efficiently and all operational activities are compliant with established service levels, quality standards, compliance, and regulatory guidelines.

In the role you will:

  • Define business impact of security incidents and identify and drive recommendations for change to prevent similar incidents.
  • Identify new external developments and/or emerging issues within technology and across BBA.
  • and evaluate their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.
  • Lead the coordination, response, and investigation of complex cyber security incidents and threat investigations.
  • Manage tasks across various teams for incident response and hunt operations.
  • Advise leadership on current operational collaborations and contribute toward strategic planning.
  • Facilitate incident response engagements and assess technical information to develop key messaging.
  • Develop policies, procedures, and related guidelines for an important area of responsibility within a function, ensuring compliance with external requirements and integration with the broader functional policy framework.
  • Ensure that business activities comply with relevant external regulatory and/or voluntary codes and with internal policies and procedures to minimise business risk and to protect the reputation of BBA.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the bank, including IT, risk management, and business units.
  • Identify and manage stakeholders up to and including management level, finding out their needs, issues, and concerns and reacting to them by leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions.
Desired Skills and Experience

About you

You are a creative and innovative leader with success in developing and enhancing a specialist team in a rapidly changing environment. You have a high level of integrity when handling sensitive information. Your continuous improvement approach to your work has seen you play a key role in uplifting a multi-team alert management program.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technology or computer science
  • 10+ years’ experience running Cyber Security operations, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • 8+ years managing Cyber Security teams.
  • Strong corporate information security experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure for cloud security.
  • CISSP, CISM, OSCP, CCSP
  • Possess hands-on experience with Windows, Linux Operating Systems
  • Possess hands-on experience with bare-metal, VM, and containerised environments.
  • Solid Azure Cloud and Microsoft E5 experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure for cloud security.
  • Develop and manage a Security Operations Centre (SOC) or SIEM.
  • Support web application security (AppSec) requirements.
  • Experience with BlueTeam and RedTeam activities.
  • Experience with dark-web and OSINT threat intelligence.
