In the Customer Experience & Marketing (CXM) team we are about identifying and defining propositions with supporting marketing campaigns for customers who want to start, grow, run or exit a business.

We do this by:

  • Developing market leading propositions to attract priority segment customers

  • Provide customers with a simple digital application & personalized onboarding experience

  • Make it easy for customers to manage their business whilst feeling valued as an ANZ customer

To deliver on this mission, we have identified content as a key element of our delivery plan. An integrated content development and amplification strategy (including events) will drive better acquisition and engagement from our target segments including Micro, BOHO, Broker, Private Bank and SMEs.

The Marketing Manager is accountable for:

  • Understanding the need for and developing content such as articles, newsletters, eDMs,, SMS, collateral and whitepapers keeping the customers at the heart of all content produced.
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues across CXM to deliver exceptional experiences to our priority segments and shape the future of content within the team; ensuring the right message is seen in the right channel and at the right time.
  • Identifying and understanding different customer journeys and the need for differentiated and personalised content.
  • Expert use of research and insights, while being cognisant of the regulatory environment the bank is operating in.

  • Managing, facilitating and delivering customer-centric content across a number of projects and channels.
  • Deliver personalised, relevant and scalable content to target audiences across channels including in-channel, promotions and other means of communication.
  • Ensuring all content produced is of a consistent tone of voice, aligned with brand guidelines across customer interaction points.
  • Proactively engaging and facilitating collaboration across the Marketing team, and build relationships and generate value.
  • Keep track of, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to, new trends and technologies.
  • You are always looking for ways to improve and innovate and challenge the status quo where required.
  • Work with agencies, customer and data insights, and proficient in delivering content activity that drives the agreed KPIs.
  • You will deliver sustainable value for our customers and shareholders through compelling communications that support increased customer retention, lower costs to serve, most importantly improving overall customer satisfaction and building brand engagement.
  • You are proficient in content strategy and UX writing - including, synthesis of information, content development, editing and content management.

Role Type: 12-month Fixed term opportunity

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • 10 + years content development/marketing and or copywriting experience
  • Sound understanding of integrated marketing communications
  • Tertiary / post-graduate marketing or business qualification
  • Superior communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes at all levels of the business
  • Experience in integrating SEO best practices into content
  • Proven strength in execution in a complex environment - ability to plan/deliver/measure/optimise an effective marketing program of work that aligns and supports broader business and marketing plans
  • Curious mindset and experience in unpacking the customer journey and leveraging data / insights to optimise the customer experience and drive business results
  • Agile experience preferred but not a pre-requisite.
  • A growth mindset, resilient nature, and an ability to cope and support others through ambiguity, uncertainty and change at pace
