Description:
Our client is a well-known manufacturer that specialises in making garage doors for the commercial and residential industries based in Revesby. Due to new projects and continued growth, we are now currently seeking Maintenance Fitters to start work immediately.
Responsibilities:
- The delivery of reliable, efficient, safe, strategic, and routine preventative maintenance activities.
- Carrying out repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment to ensure production schedules and goals are achieved.
- Responding to breakdown situations to repair to all plant equipment as requested by the relevant Manager/Supervisor.
- Working from prioritized Maintenance schedule within our internal maintenance planning system.
- Maintaining all registers, logs, and systems to track repairs, notifications, and work activities.
- Working to achieve pre-determined and measurable KPIs.
Requirements:
- Recognized Mechanical Trade Qualification (Cert 3 Engineering Trade).
- Perform welding duties (Arc, Mig, and Oxy).
- Experience in Hydraulics and Pneumatics would be advantageous.
- Ideally background in Heavy industry or Steel manufacturing environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions during emergency situations.
- Identify operational and equipment improvement opportunities through ongoing investigation and root cause analysis of fault.
- Strong understanding of safety and environmental practices with a commitment to best practice
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Working knowledge of CMMS (MEX preferred).
- Your forklift license, working at heights, dogging/rigging and confined space tickets would be highly regarded.
