Coordinator Fleet Management

(MIS20031)

Are you ready to work in a dynamic and sector leading fleet management team?

If yes, please read on…

Would you like to work in a genuinely exciting, flexible, and friendly work environment, which offers its people a range of benefits, including flexible working hours, to help support you and get the best results possible for our community. Then the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DEMIRS) is for you!

Here at DEMIRS we value diversity and appreciate every individual's perspective, bringing together a diverse and inclusive workforce to drive innovation and success. So, if you're an innovative and forward-thinking individual who values collaboration and wants to contribute to the next big discovery in the mining sector, protecting our workers' health and safety, protecting tenants and consumers, transforming energy supply and emissions, whilst rolling out new technology to deliver excellent customer service and achieve success, then DEMIRS is the agency for you.

The role

The Assets Branch provides building, property, fleet, and facility related services to departmental locations in the CBD, metropolitan area and regional centres.

DEMIRS believes its fleet can be the best managed in the Western Australian public service. You will monitor and develop strategies, use technology, embrace emerging trends, and lead new initiatives to ensure the fleet is its most effective.

As the Coordinator Fleet Management, you will be responsible for electrifying the fleet, implementing fleet management efficiencies, and progressing exciting new initiatives.

Drawing on your experience, you will improve the efficient and effective utilisation of the vehicle fleet to ensure the fleet is safe, fit for purpose, the right size, leaner, and greener.

You'll monitor and develop strategies to maintain the Department's fleet cap requirements, manage fleet management information systems, registries of drivers and Home Garaging arrangements, and respond to vehicle accidents and mechanical repairs.

In addition, you will coordinate the preparation of the annual motor vehicle budget, data collection for the purposes of FBT, the Departments vehicle replacement program, and receipt invoices from leasing contractors, State Fleet and other contractors.

Please refer to the Form (JDF) attached for further information regarding the position, including any specific requirements, capabilities and pre-employment checks which will be assessed as part of the selection process.

While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies (permanent, fixed-term, full-time or part-time) within the department for the next 12 months.
