Our opportunity

As Senior Commercial Finance Manager, Asset Management, you will lead the Commercial Finance Team for a portfolio of assets, drive the financial analysis, forecasting and business intelligence for their division. This role partners closely with the GM Portfolio Management (Office & Industrial, Retail and BTR) and their respective national manager.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the Commercial Finance Management Team to manage a portfolio of assigned assets.
  • Work closely with the other Senior Commercial Finance Manager to define the Commercial Finance strategy, business plan and is accountable for ensuring the team is positioned to deliver.
  • Drive consistency and process improvements across the Commercial Finance Team, developing best practice processes and procedures, process improvements, key deliverables and change initiatives whilst ensuring we are achieving the best business outcomes.
  • Work with key stakeholders to coordinate the commercial finance management team to provide data and analysis to produce portfolio level financial information and statistics relating to the allocated portfolios.
  • Work closely with Investment / Fund analyst teams to provide financial information, analysis and input to support investor queries for allocated portfolios.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to the Commercial Finance Team on long term forecasting, returns, valuations and systems related issues.
  • Be an active participant in business change projects including systems, data optimisation and drive system enhancements and changes in the spirit of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain quality control and consistency in modelling practices of the Commercial Finance management team, ensuring alignment between across different portfolios in conjunction with the other Senior Commercial Finance Managers.
  • Coordinate annual P&L capital budgets, long term forecasts, and returns for dedicated properties.
  • Coordinate input into Strategic asset plans, and other strategy documents as required.
  • Oversee and provide technical support to teams on leasing deal analysis, including cash flow forecasting IRR calculations, variance and sensitively analysis and valuation impact.
  • Provide accurate and timely analysis and modelling to support internal stakeholders in decision-making and be accountable for detailed financial analysis and modelling to support the business.
  • Assist with due diligence associated with on-boarding of properties.

Your point of difference

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, property, finance or related discipline.
  • Post Graduate qualification (CPA / CA / CFA preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high performing teams and embrace different ideas and ways of working.
  • Strong excel skills, prior experience utilising with Cougar / MRI SP / Anaplan a distinct advantage.
  • Maintain high standard of performance - e.g. attention to detail, quality and timely execution of tasks. Possesses extensive knowledge of real assets and property markets with capability to disseminate knowledge to key stakeholders and team.
  • Ability to influence and engage with key stakeholders that drive investment performance and positive outcomes for team.
  • Produce quality, insight financial analysis that enhances decision making.
