Position Overview:
As an NDIS Coordinator of Supports, you will play a pivotal role in assisting participants in understanding, navigating, and maximizing their National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) plans. You will provide tailored support coordination services to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to achieve their goals and lead fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Connect participants to relevant supports, including community, mainstream, and specialist services.
- Broker supports and services in accordance with the participant's preferences and budget outlined in their NDIS plan.
- Monitor plan budgets and the effectiveness of support services, ensuring alignment with the participant's goals and needs.
- Build the capacity and capability of participants to understand their plans, navigate the NDIS system, and make informed decisions about their supports.
- Advertise and increase participant engagement with Coordination of Support Services.
- Reach and exceed achievable KPI’s.
- Provide support to the senior management team to onboard and mentor additional Coordinators of Supports during company growth stages.
- Ensure reporting compliance in maintained within NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission guidelines.
- Provide support coordination at level 1 and level 2 levels outlined in the NDIS framework, depending on the participant's goals, needs, and circumstances:
- Level 1: Support Connection – Assist participants in understanding their plan, connecting with NDIS providers and community resources, and increasing their confidence and skills to manage their plan independently.
- Level 2: Coordination of Supports – Work with participants to implement a mix of supports aimed at enhancing their capacity to maintain relationships, manage tasks, live independently, and participate in their community. Empower participants to direct their lives and not just their services, building confidence and skills for self-direction.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Social Work, Disability Studies, Psychology, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities in a Coordinator of Support position.
- Demonstrated high level understanding of and experience dealing with the NDIAS framework and ability to advocate for favorable outcomes for participants .
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with participants, stakeholders and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a variety of environments i.e. from office, remotely and participant homes.
- Adaptable and responsive with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Knowledge of local community resources and support services.
- Current valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (if required for client visits).
