Are you an Electrical Tradesperson who’s looking to make a lifestyle change? We’re looking for a Live Line Linesperson or Linesperson to permanently join our team located in Tully. Tully is a gorgeous little town situated in the Cassowary Coast region of Far North Queensland. It sits about 140km south of Cairns and 210km north of Townsville. What’s on offer: Remuneration between $97,006 - $109,800 per annum + 12.75% superannuation + locality allowance up to $2,464 per annum. And up to $10,000 to help you relocate to Tully. The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the applicant’s knowledge, skill and competencies required for the position. Other Benefits:

About the role: As a Linesperson and/or Live Line Linesperson, you will:

• Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Linesperson, or
• Be trade qualified with a Queensland Live Line authorisation.
• Construct, maintain and repair overhead, high, and low voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting mains and customer service lines.
• Perform live line methodology on Energy Queensland (Ergon Energy and Energex) networks.

About you: Critical to your success in the role, is your:

• Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network.
• Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations.
• Availability for call out and emergency work.
• Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
• Current ‘C’ class open Drives Licence.
• You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical as part of the selection process.
