To continue our success, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive for Independents in SA and WA. This role will be to support profitable and sustainable sales and growth of PepsiCo products within the Independents Channel through the development / management of promotional programs and provision of account management support to the SA State Account Manager along with the ownership of Metcash WA and selected state-based accounts to achieve AOP.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management

  • Achievement of AOP within the Independents channel, including Metcash WA and selected state-based accounts through end-to-end management of these accounts.
  • Work in collaboration with SA SAM to leverage category insights to identify and develop plans for growth and achieve alignment from customers.
  • Build strong relationships with key customer contacts to develop and execute Joint Business Plans and own the schedule of engagement to review and track performance.
  • Work with State Field Teams to ensure strategies agreed at customer level are executed at field level.

Promotional Program Management

  • Manage the preparation and submission of promotional activities to customers in line with individual customer format and lead time requirements.
  • Analyse specific customer promotional programs to identify opportunities to drive D&A savings, incremental NR and a share winning plan.
  • Collaborate with National Account team and SA SAM to develop account level activation and execution for own accounts.

Forecasting Process

  • Ensure trade spend is accurately forecasted and all promotional claims are processed in a timely manner and in accordance with PepsiCo controls. Demonstrate ownership of driving improvements in the forecast to claims process.
  • Manage trade spend within AOP or agreed targets

Field Communications

  • Prepare and communicate key priorities for field execution through completion of relevant briefing templates and participating in field engagement meetings.
  • Manage all ad-hoc field queries and communications relating to relevant accounts.

Analysis and Planning

  • Take an active role in understanding account performance to gain insights and identify opportunities such as range, distribution, execution, and innovation.
  • Work with the category team to participate in the category review process for relevant customers.

Qualifications

About you:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent qualification preferable with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a related sales function in FMCG or like industry.
  • Proven track record in delivering results in a sales role.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships.
  • Knowledge of category trends and insights with ability to execute into customer plans.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with others to deliver business outcomes.
  • Solid communication and negotiation skills.
  • Results driven, with 'can do' attitude.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to generate insights, and accompany with clear and concise action plans
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Understanding of Circana scan data.
  • Overall business understanding of sales and operations
