About the Opportunity
May Shaw have an opportunity for a qualified Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant to join our incredible Scottsdale team.
As a Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant, your duties will include,
- Assist with the delivery of a range of one on one and group activities for the resident
- Assessing the successfulness of the programs and ensuring appropriate documentation is completed
- Assist with bus outings, special events and functions for the residents. As you may be required to drive a 22 seater bus, an MR License is highly desired
- Support the planning and implementation of a varied and stimulating activities program
- Providing support to the residents and assisting in establishing goals to support their mental, physical, social, cultural and spiritual needs and choices
Selection Criteria
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent
- An MR license is highly desirable
- Previous experience as a Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant or in a personal care capacity
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills
- Current National Police Check, as well as COVID (3 doses) and flu vaccinations.
