The Role:
- Leading and managing 14 staff members across two cafes.
- Developing and implementing staff rosters.
- Understanding the financial aspects of running a food venue, including budgets and cost control.
- Explore growth and sales opportunities, including customised catering.
- Work closely with your Area Manager to thrive in all aspects of operations to identify trends, revenue growth, stock management, and staff development.
- Adherence to health and safety procedures, working with the health and safety team to ensure your site is fully compliant.
- Ensuring high standards of customer service and food quality.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to drive business growth and profitability.
- Previous experience in managing a food venue, preferably a café.
- Experience in barista and an understanding of kitchen operations.
- Sound knowledge of busy multi food outlet operations with a focus on sales and service.
- A current food safety supervisors’ certificate showing commitment to ensuring food safety.
- Understanding of HACCP and audits.
- Proven experience in staff management and rostering.
- Strong understanding of financials and budget management.
- Be computer literate – Basic to intermediate in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, with early starts at 5:30 or 6:00am
