About the role
The role will be accountable for setting the client development strategy and standards for the ANZ market, aligning the management and client relations teams, actively recruiting new high jewellery clients, championing client development program by developing, implementing, monitoring and supporting initiatives that will develop active and lapsed clients as well as see the recruitment of new high value clients in order to exceed overall sales targets and clienteling KPI's. This will be accomplished through collaborative partnerships with Central, Regional, Market and Store level management and staff.
Responsbilities
- Develop meaningful relationships and a deep understanding of the needs of existing clients
- Develop strategies to re-engage lapsed and proactively prospect for new high potential clients
- Actively prospect and recruit new high value and High Jewellery clients for the business
- Develop local, regional and Blue Book selling event strategies that will maximize high value sales within the market/region.
- Partner with Marketing, PR, CVM and retail events to drive retail events activations
- Support new product launches, High Jewelry caravans, and ad hoc product events
- Partner with merchandising and other corporate partners on event support and launch strategy
- Create and manage client event calendar, manage client actions budget; track and advise on ROI
- Develop and implement, in conjunction with the Sales & Marketing teams, an outreach, gifting and unique event/experience strategy for high value potential clients
- Develop and deliver an annual High Jewellery strategy for the ANZ business including sales targets
- Recruit new High Jewellery clients
- Host all local selling events and specialized client functions in conjunction with Market/Store management
- Oversight and direct involvement in the communication and reporting of all market level Statement Council requests
- Direct involvement in all aspects of custom design orders including working directly with store management and sales professionals and the associated client
- Champion client development program through your actions and ensure a client development mindset is permeated throughout the organization
- Ensure client development best practices and initiatives are consistently practiced within the market
Ideal Candidate
- 10+ years management experience with emphasis on direct client contact, preferably within a jewellery or luxury retailer.
- University degree or equivalent life/work experience.
- Computer experience including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, e-mail and Point of Sale systems.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to effectively manage a budget and support local initiatives
- Non-traditional business hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Self-starter, strategic thinker, problem solver.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel extensively
- Diamond certificate (will be required on development plan in the first year if not present at hire)
- Gemmological backround and education
