Description:

The Learning Management System (LMS) Coordinator reports to the Section Manager Capability and Training Operations, and is responsible for the administration of CASA's LMS, in support of delivery of training to CASA staff as well as industry personnel. This role manages the creation of new training activities, assignment of training to staff, resolution of system issues, ongoing maintenance of system configuration and first line audit of system data.

The LMS Coordinator provides a central point of contact within the People and Capability Branch for ensuring consistent and standardised management of training data for CASA. The role creates new training activities in accordance with branch standards, educates staff on system use, produces reports when requested and liaises with the Information Technology Branch and system vendor to resolve system issues.

The LMS Coordinator is responsible for undertaking regular reviews of LMS data to ensure accuracy and integrity of the data and taking any necessary remedial action. The role also assists in undertaking periodic audits of LMS data, as part of the branch Continuous Improvement Practices.

The LMS Coordinator is responsible for the following deliverables:
• Creation and maintenance of training activities within the LMS, in accordance with branch procedures and naming conventions.
• Check settings and naming conventions relating to learning assets to ensure consistency and standardisation.
• Test course content to ensure that learning content functions correctly within the LMS.
• Investigate problems with learning content functionality within the LMS in order to identify causes and implement solutions.
• Investigate problems with LMS functionality, and where necessary, escalate to either the CASA service desk or system vendor as applicable for resolution.
• Creation and maintenance of "How to Guides" for LMS users, managers, facilitators and administrators.
• Maintenance of the LMS Administration Manual and related documentation.
• Manage system privileges for LMS administrators and facilitators.
• Educate system users on LMS capabilities and use.
• Creation of LMS reports to support compliance with CASA's training obligations under the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and when requested by CASA business units and stakeholders.
• Conduct regular reviews of LMS data to determine accuracy/integrity and implement identified remedial actions.
• Support periodic audits of LMS data and implement identified remedial actions.
• Assist section with financial and budget activities including raising and paying invoices, reporting and tracking.
• Provide support to the Section Manager Capability and Training Operations and contribute to the activities of the People and Capability Branch.
• Promote workplace safety, equity and diversity, participative management and environmental management in the workplace and act in accordance with CASA's Values and Behaviours.


The key duties of the position include
Our ideal candidate must demonstrate the following:
• Demonstrated experience in managing a Learning Management System or similar type of database system.
• Demonstrated high-level proficiency using Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated high level (oral and written) communication including the ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Knowledge of or experience in applying quality assurance and quality practices.
• Demonstrated knowledge of workplace learning and adult education theories and practices.
• Demonstrated experience in the use of a Records Management System (RMS).
