In this role, the Exercise / Fitness Specialist will be applying the science of exercise to design and deliver physical activity, exercise-based interventions, and nutrition support to improve health, fitness, well-being, performance and assist in the prevention of injury and chronic conditions.
Main Tasks:
- Assessing and testing clients through strength and cardiovascular tests, such as Cooper Test – Core Strength – 1 repetition max among others.
- Assessing clients biomechanically to score current levels of joint mobility, muscle flexibility, and identify any structural or acute body abnormality thus minimizing injuries’ risks.
- Measuring, analysing and reporting current levels of body composition and health markers through tests such as BMI, Hip/Waist ratio, 7 sites skin fold (Pollock), among others.
- Gathering information based on assessments to create and delivery a safe exercise and nutrition program, aiming the main priorities identified on assessment.
- Creating structured programs and split into 3 main parties: 1) warm up including mobility exercises, soft tissue exercises and muscle activation; 2) strength work including manly compound and multi-join exercises; 3) cardiovascular work including different types such as High Intensity Interval Training, Moderate Intensity Continuous Training, Low Intensity Continuous Training.
- Monitoring clients daily, giving feedback in regards exercises performance and exertion levels (RPE Scale).
- Re-assessing clients every 4-5 weeks to review / formulate a new exercise program.
- Prospecting new clients, manly promoting services through partnership with Physicians, Physiotherapists, Nutritionists among others.
Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:
- Bachelor Degree or higher in a relevant field and a minimum of 3 years’ full-time work experience in the industry.

Annual salary will be between $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
