About You

As the Marketing and Communications Lead, you will oversee the execution and enhancement of comprehensive marketing strategies and communication initiatives, specifically targeting founders, new ventures, and impact funders. This role involves closely working with delivery teams, RMIT-affiliated participants, and stakeholders within the Victorian entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Measurement & Enhancement: Direct initiatives measuring campaign success across all stages. Collaborate with delivery teams to refine these strategies, ensuring an exceptional customer journey.

  • Strategic Marketing Execution: Craft and implement marketing strategies that enhance awareness and engagement, particularly with potential program funding organisations focusing on impactful outcomes.

  • Program Promotion: Showcase and recruit for specific programs, both using RMIT channels, targeted social and direct communications

  • Content Leadership: Generate compelling content that supports awareness and fosters engagement, with a special focus on our RMIT affiliation and the Sustainable Communities initiative.

  • Ecosystem Outreach: Develop and lead outreach and collaboration efforts, connecting with key organisations, coaches, and mentors within the Victorian entrepreneurial landscape.

You Will Bring:

  • Strategic Marketing Insight: Proven experience in developing and executing marketing strategies, ideally within entrepreneurial or educational settings.

  • Content Mastery: Strong skills in content curation and communication across various platforms, including digital and social media.

  • Analytical Excellence: A robust analytical approach, using data to drive decisions and evaluate campaign effectiveness.

  • Creative Vision: An innovative mindset with the ability to adapt to changing market trends and organizational needs.

  • Relevant Qualifications: Essential tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

About the Portfolio

The Policy and Impact Team provides focus and momentum for the projects and priorities that were identified in RMIT's Strategic Plan.

We have provided support for the implementation of the RMIT Strategy with a particular focus on public policy and government engagement, innovative practice in organisational capability development, and the development of new collaborations and partnerships. The Policy and Impact Team has been a focal point for the development of the Melbourne Innovation Districts partnership between the City of Melbourne, The University of Melbourne and RMIT which focuses on urban innovation for the future of Melbourne.

The Policy and Impact Team members provide a distinctive set of evidence-driven, analytical and public policy expertise, including policy and data analysis, government engagement and capability in areas such as: strategic development, innovation, partnership development across government, industry and social sector, project management capabilities. The Policy and Impact Team is available to provide advice and assist the University as it seeks to engage with strategic projects and public policy issues that are aligned with the goals set out in the Knowledge with Action: RMIT's Strategy to 2031.
