Description:

You will be accountable for acting as the lynchpin in the sourcing, creation, development, and publication of engaging, relevant and timely content for a range of communications and media. Your role will include (and is not limited to):

  • Contribution to the development and implementation of the annual plan for campaigns, communications and content that supports organisational priorities, achieves agreed targets, and enables flexibility to respond to opportunities and challenges as they arise.
  • Spearheading the creation of written content to develop high quality, timely and targeted communications, and internal and external campaigns.
  • Ongoing development of a range of internal and external stakeholder communications and collateral, including newsletters, brochures, and reports, in both print and electronic form.
  • Contribution to the development of marketing/PR/communications strategies and campaigns in line with organisational and business unit priorities.
  • Sourcing editorial opportunities aligned to strategic plans and preparation of written content to maximise reach and engagement.
  • Media liaison, including preparation of media releases and maintenance of media networks.
  • Leading and coaching an engaged and productive communications team.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in communications, marketing or journalism or other relevant discipline.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of internal and external stakeholder campaigns and communications strategies.
  • Experience and expertise in sourcing, creating, and editing content for varied purposes.
  • An eagle eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging, meaningful, and successful communications that achieve strategic business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to create, direct and curate written and visual content using a range of channels/mediums/platforms tailored for various audiences.
  • Excellence in all digital communications tools including MSTeams, Office 365, excel, PowerPoint, online content planning, project management and collaboration tools.
  • Enthusiasm for interacting effectively with a diverse range of people and experience in maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders to successfully deliver organisational outcomes within a defined timeline.
  • Excellent interpersonal and industry networking skills.



Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant will be subject to comprehensive reference and background checking before employment, that will include

  • A current Victorian Drivers' License and your own car, noting some travel (including interstate) may be required.
  • Full Australian working rights
  • A current Police Records Check or be willing to undertake this process
  • A current Working With Children's Check (VIC)
  • Current flu and COVID-19 vaccination and be prepared to meet this ongoing requirement
