Details regarding the role

As Investment Manager you are responsible for the stewardship of the overall media buying process and the individuals that comprise your client Investment Team in collaboration with your Investment Director.

You will develop the members of your teams ability to implement market leading ideas the Telstra Account and be instrumental in establishing processes and documentation that deliver on our Performance with Integrity ambition.

  • Use expert knowledge and senior media relationships to uncover innovative insights & provide points of view and thought leadership to wider the team
  • Monitor team's communication with media partners, in particular their briefing and feedback to ensure it;'s timely, consistent and constructive
  • Collate industry news, updates and broader media trends
  • Custodian of all team processes and supporting documentation that relate to Investment best practice
  • Build value adding relationships with media owners, internal stakeholders, auditors and relevant clients
  • Attend key meetings with internal & external stakeholders where appropriate & have regular dialogue onmarket information and insights
  • Preparation of negotiation documents with Investment Director/Group Investment Director
  • Monitor all financial commitments to media in conjunction with Investment Director
  • Analyse audit results prior to presentation and liaise with auditors if any discrepancies
  • Arrangement of meeting, preparation of WIP reports, compilation of deal tracking and financial administration, campaign monitoring, buying and post analysis processes
  • Provide regular 360 degree feedback and address performance shortfalls in a timely & constrictive manner
  • Consistent delivery of all campaign objectives in accordance with approved media plan
About your skills and experience

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Citrix Applications
  • Experience negotiating deals to meet client expectations within budget
  • Understanding of commercial arrangements with all clients
  • Strong attention to detail, experience managing workflow and delegating tasks across the team
  • Ability to lead and develop capability amongst a team of high performers
  • Be informed and able to discuss media trends and current industry issues
  • Strong relationship builder at a senior level
  • Understanding of buying systems and utilising data to drive audience based buying
  • Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship
