As they continue to expand their presence in Sydney, they are seeking a talented Senior Fire Protection Engineer to lead their projects with expertise and passion.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Senior Fire Protection Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing fire protection projects across various sectors, including Commercial, Residential and Healthcare. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery, from conception to completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of skilled engineers, collaborate with clients and stakeholders and overall development.
DUTIES.
- Lead and manage fire protection engineering projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Conduct site assessments, risk assessments, and code reviews to identify fire hazards and develop effective mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with architects, designers, contractors, and regulatory authorities to integrate fire protection measures into building designs and construction plans
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering their professional development and promoting a culture of excellence within the team
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns, providing updates on project progress, and delivering exceptional customer service
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification required
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in fire protection engineering, with a proven track record of leading successful projects
- Proficiency in fire protection system design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation software
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with clients
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
