An opportunity is now available for an International Development Officer to join our UniSQ International Portfolio and be part of our mission to shape the future of international research and education at the University.

Our UniSQ International Portfolio ensures the ongoing successful marketing of the University and our many programs at an international level. This includes the recruitment and admission of international students and the establishment and ongoing management of key international partnerships. The UniSQ International team is recognised as the driving force in the building of UniSQ’s profile and ongoing performance in the international student attraction space.

What you’ll do

You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of international research training partnership programs and sponsorship programs in consultation with key internal stakeholders. In particular, you will:

  • Coordinate the Cotutelle program which enables students to conduct their research across two universities, allowing for joint supervision and dual PhD awards.
  • Coordinate all international sponsor and research training partnership agreements, scholarships and arrangements for Cotutelle and Joint PhD programs and international sponsored students with key stakeholders whilst ensuring compliance with governance requirements.
  • Administer the international sponsored students, international research training partnership applications and related Higher Degree by Research (HDR) scholarship applications and progressions.
  • Coordinate international research-focused workshops planned by UniSQ International as well as the development and maintenance of relevant collateral.

What will help you succeed

Together with your relevant degree, you will have extensive experience working in administration, preferably in a Higher Degree Research or Research management environment. You will also have:

  • Project management expertise, including the organisation of workshops and events.
  • Experience working with complex databases and interpreting and reporting on data.
  • An innate ability to build and manage relationships with a culturally diverse range of stakeholders as well as exceptional client service skills.
  • Proven experience in the application and interpretation of complex legislation, rules, policies and procedures.

Salary: Total remuneration range $102,135 to $110,617 pa (includes salary range of $86,299 to $93,466 pa, employer superannuation contributions of 17% of salary and 17.5% annual leave loading)

Location: Toowoomba, Springfield or Ipswich campus
