Trinity Bay affords its students a vibrant and varied curriculum. This allows students to achieve their very best academically. The senior school offers the full range of academic and vocational options. The junior school offers traditional core subjects but an increasingly diverse range of elective subjects with Year 7 being a transition year from primary school. The school also offers enrichment and extension programs in dance, drama, music, technical theatre and sport. About the Role

The Head of Department - Technologies will lead the Technologies faculty including Digital Technologies, Industrial Technology and Design, and Food and Fashion. The role will relate to our school values and be responsible for:

  • Line Management of subject area coordinators and technicians.
  • The curriculum component including subjects from Year 7 - 12 included in the 3 strands of Technologies - Digital, ITD and Food and Fashion.
  • The pedagogy role will focus on team and individual development via the annual performance review process.
  • Monitoring student engagement, attendance and achievement as per school targets.
  • Maintaining established partnerships with external agencies.
  • Providing technology advice to the school as required.

Within the context of the role described above, the ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

  • Demonstrated teaching competence and capacity to provide curriculum leadership leading to the achievement of quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop and sustain productive relationships within and beyond the school community.
  • Capacity to use analytical skills to contribute to educational outcomes at the school level.
  • Capacity to manage effectively human, financial and physical resources to deliver high quality organisational outcomes.
  • Demonstrated support for and the capacity to develop and maintain an organisational culture based on ethical professional and personal behaviours and corporate values.
  • Our ideal candidate will have experience in at least one of the 3 technology strands and be willing to lead a diverse team of staff.
