Assistant Manager - Signature Dining - The Star Sydney

As our Assistant Manager, reporting to the Venue Manager, you will lead your team to deliver the daily operations of the venue.

A few of your responsibilities:
- Assist Venue Manager to lead and support achievement of financial and operational targets
- Oversee operational functions that include rostering requirements, standard operating procedures, training and performance management
- Oversee and drive marketing strategies and sales incentives
- Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of service standards and standard operating procedures
- Ensure that all areas of the business comply with the Responsible Service of Alcohol program and relevant provisions of the Liquor Act
- Demonstrate The Star's values
- Assist in managing the selection, training and development of all employees to ensure timely recruitment and career growth
- Demonstrate to guests and team member a commitment to service excellence through the effective implementation and delivery of The Star Qualities at all times
What we are looking for:
- Management experience within in a similar large busy environment, with a thorough knowledge of food and beverages
- Demonstrated ability in planning and resourcing people and products, performance management and controlling labour costs and operating expenses
- Exceptional guest service skills with a proactive attitude and natural ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of guests
- Highly organised and eager, with a high attention to detail
- Current RSA Statement of Attainment
- Flexible availability for work over a 7 day roster
