We are offering a position for a Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our close-knit team. The successful applicant will possess the following qualities:
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and phone manner
- Professional, motivated and self-driven
- Good organisational skills
- Punctual and responsible
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work coherently within our team
- Proactive both within the surgery and the practice as a whole
- Ability to put people at ease
Key responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet patients
- Preparation of dental treatments
- Chair-side dental assisting
- Cross-infection control, sterilising of dental instruments
- Answering phone calls and arranging appointments
- Arranging bookings for existing patients and follow up appointments
- Processing of payments and accurate data entry
- General maintenance of surgery
- Following the dentist’s instructions for patient management
- General administrative tasks
Previous dental assisting/reception experience is an advantage but not essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to the right candidate.
The right candidate will be focusing mainly on the role of dental assisting although administrative duties may be required in case of staff absence.
This position will begin as a casual role, preferably be available on Saturdays. The opportunity for a permanent role in the future is available for the right candidate.
