Our client, a large complex Queensland Government agency, are currently seeking an Agile Project Manager/Iteration Manager for an initial 6+ month contract.
A number of significant projects are being undertaken within the department to migrate business critical functions from its legacy ERP solution into an eco-system of business solutions.
Roles and responsibilities include:

Serve as an Iteration Manager for one or more cross-functional teams, providing guidance and coaching to team members on the pragmatic application of agile principles and practices.

Ensure that the team members understand their role team has a single agreed plan
-
team is aligned and focused on milestone delivery

stakeholders are identified and managed appropriately

risks and impediments to delivery are surfaced, understood, and managed

function as one of the Program leads by ensuring delivery activities are on track and in lines with the agreed focusing question, scope, and plan

facilitate effective communication within the team and with stakeholders, ensuring transparency and information flow
-
facilitate backlog refinement, working with product owners to define and refine user stories, backlog items and acceptance criteria
-
track and report on project progress, identifying and addressing impediments to ensure successful and on-time delivery
-
work with product owners and business stakeholders to understand and facilitate prioritisation of project requirements, scope, and daily tasks
-
implement and enforce agile practices and methods that have been designed for the Program
-
foster a collaborative and positive team environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and high performance.
Role requirements
-
proven experience as an Iteration Manager role
-
strong understanding of agile principles, methodologies, and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
-
excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
-
demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve project goals and milestones
-
experience with agile tools and software
-
minimum of 5 years of experience in agile project management or related roles
-
previous experience in Business led IT programs with multiple projects is highly desirable
-
some level of agile certification preferred
