About role:

As an senior engineer in a Civica Platform team, you will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining Civica’s cloud-based platforms. You will be responsible for our externally facing Platform, used by our Engineering teams to serve our customers. You’ll also be building our internal developer platform, an exciting project that we’re currently undertaking from the ground up. You’ll also act as both an escalation point and a mentor within your team, ensuring that other platform engineers are set up for success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentoring other platform engineers.
  • Working with both internal and externally facing systems, ensuring that they are performant, reliable, secure, and scalable
  • Working on our developer platform, which enables developers to rapidly develop and iterate on our software and services
  • Solving the most complex technical problems that the team works on
  • Helping teams to improve older tech stacks & platforms utilising modern approaches
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for other colleagues
  • Actively influencing company-wide architecture
  • Proactively developing best practices within the platform community
