Description:
As an investigations officer you will provide efficient and effective regulatory compliance, investigation, and enforcement services in a busy regional office.- Undertake investigations into possible breaches of legislation administered by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT).
- Undertake proactive compliance strategies and activities.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of proactive compliance strategies.
- Prepare prosecution briefs and represent the OFT in court proceedings.
- Monitor a wide range of marketplace activity for compliance with legislation and initiate corrective action where necessary in accordance with the OFT's policies and procedures.
- Prepare correspondence and reports relating to the investigation of complaints of a complex or sensitive nature.
- Conduct industry and community engagement activities which contribute to the OFT's goals, including the delivery of information and education sessions.
- Guide, support and assist other OFT officers in the conduct of their duties.
- Provide accurate and relevant information and advice to clients regarding OFT's legislation, services, policies, procedures, forms, fees etc.
- Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of OFT legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.
