Description:
The Emergency Services Agency is seeking a highly organised and detail focused wordsmith to implement complex internal communication plans and strategies as the Corporate Affairs Officer, ESA Commissioners Office.Reporting to the Chief of Staff, ESA Commissioner’s Office; you will need to ensure compliance with timelines and quality, as well as maintaining discretion and confidentiality. This role prepares inclusive and engaging internal communications, speeches, talking points and presentations for the Commissioner to deliver agency objectives and outcomes in line with Strategic Plan.
Additionally, as part of the ESA Commissioners Office you will work collaboratively and effectively by building and managing relationships with business areas internal stakeholders, provide sound advice and support; Stay positive and calm under pressure, with a willingness to step up to develop significant communication demands.
Note: The occupant of this position may be required to undertake duties outside normal business hours and/or weekends in response to emergencies, with access to applicable flex and/or overtime remuneration as per the Enterprise Agreement.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:
1.Tertiary qualifications in the field of communications and/or a related area is highly desirable.
2.Driver’s licence ‘Class C’ is desirable, as there is no public transport available at Fairbairn
3.This position does not require a pre-employment medical
4.This position requires a Working with Vulnerable People Registration.
5.This position may require after hours or weekend work.
Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of 12 months with the possibility of permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
